Master Data Administrator

Position Summary

The Master Data Administrator will take ownership of data migration and master data preparation. This person makes sure material, BOM, routing and purchasing data is complete, validated and ready to load into SAP when each release needs it.

The Master Data Administrator works across value chains, modules and business areas. They collect the required data and keep it centralized in one place.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the preparation of master data and the data migration activities for the ATLAS releases.
• Prepare and maintain the master data objects needed for system loading, such as material master, bills of materials (BOMs), routings and purchasing info records.
• Work with each value chain, SAP module team and business area to collect the data they need.
• Keep all master data and migration data in one central, controlled repository.
• Coordinate data cleansing, validation and load readiness before each release and test cycle.
• Run data loads and imports with the IT and business teams, and track and fix load errors.
• Work with the business and IT master-data owners to define and follow data standards, naming conventions and ownership rules. The report-out calls for separate business and IT master-data ownership.
• Support production planning, MM and PP consultants with data needs, including BOM and routing preparation for As-Is and To-Be reviews.
• Report data readiness, open issues and risks to the project leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in master data management or data migration in SAP (ECC or S/4HANA).
• Strong working knowledge of material master, BOM, routing and info record data.
• Experience with data load tools and templates (e.g., LSMW, LTMC/Migration Cockpit, or similar) and Excel-based data preparation.
• Experience coordinating data collection across several departments.
• Strong attention to detail, data quality and documentation.
• Fluent English

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience (discrete manufacturing, fabrication or production planning).
• Experience in an ERP implementation or rollout program with overlapping releases.
• Knowledge of data governance and stewardship practices.
• Familiarity with SAP MM, PP and QM data structures.
