- Master Data Strategy & Roadmap: Translate the enterprise Master Data design, strategy, vision, and priorities established by the Senior Manager and Data Governance Council into practical standards, procedures, controls, implementation plans, and a measurable roadmap.
- Data Governance Council Facilitation: Facilitate the Data Governance Council led by the Senior Manager by preparing agendas, decision materials, recommendations, metrics, action registers, and follow-up. Administer approved decision rights, priorities, standards, and escalation paths across data domains.
- Enterprise Standards & Policies: Develop, document, maintain, and enforce enterprise data definitions, naming conventions, validation rules, ownership requirements, approval standards, retention expectations, and operating procedures in alignment with approved governance policy.
- Master Data Lifecycle Management: Own end-to-end processes and workflows for creating, changing, extending, blocking, and retiring Master Data, including request intake, validation, approval, documentation, segregation of duties, change control, and service-level expectations.
- Data Domain Governance: Administer governance across customer, vendor/business partner, bank, material, pricing, hierarchy, and finance Master Data, including the chart of accounts, cost centers, profit centers, internal orders, payment terms, and reason codes.
- Data Quality Management: Establish data-quality rules, monitoring, dashboards, and remediation processes. Prevent and resolve duplicate, incomplete, inconsistent, inaccurate, or noncompliant data and coordinate root-cause corrective actions with business and technical owners.
- Business Data Owner Partnership: Partner with data owners and stewards across Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Procurement, Manufacturing, and other functions. Clarify accountability, support timely decisions, and ensure business owners remain responsible for data content within their domains.
- SAP & Systems Partnership: Partner with Information Technology and SAP teams on configurations, integrations, enhancements, workflow automation, testing, releases, user acceptance testing, cutover, and stabilization activities affecting Master Data.
- Issue Management & Escalation: Lead cross-functional investigation and resolution of enterprise Master Data issues, manage escalations according to the approved governance model, and identify preventive improvements that reduce rework, delays, and downstream business impact.
- Compliance, Controls & Audit Readiness: Ensure Master Data activities comply with Company policies, authorization requirements, security standards, internal controls, regulatory expectations, and audit requirements while maintaining complete and accurate supporting documentation.
- Change Management & Enablement: Develop communications, training, process guidance, and adoption support for data owners, stewards, requestors, approvers, and system users. Promote consistent use of standards and build enterprise understanding of Master Data responsibilities.
- Performance Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Define, analyze, and report KPIs such as data quality, duplicate reduction, request cycle time, first-time-right processing, issue aging, business satisfaction, and compliance or audit results. Use insights to prioritize automation and process improvements.
