Master Data Manager

The Master Data Manager is the single accountable owner for the quality, consistency, and governance of Therakos’ operational master data domains. Working within Operations and in close partnership with IT, Supply Chain, Commercial, Business Operations, Finance, Regulatory, and Customer Care, this role defines data standards, maintains the integrity of eight core master data domains across ERP and related systems, and drives error-proofing activities across all functions that create or modify master data. The Master Data Manager ensures that Therakos’ Product Lines are accurately represented across all systems and that master data is audit-ready, scalable, and aligned to business requirements.

Responsibilities

Master Data Governance & Strategy
• Own and maintain master data standards, data dictionaries, naming conventions, and lifecycle policies for all eight master data domains.
• Serve as the primary point of escalation and decision-making authority for master data conflicts, duplicate records, and data quality issues.
• Partner with IT on system configuration, data architecture, integration design, and governance tooling; ensure business requirements drive technical implementation.
• Maintain master data process documentation and ensure procedures are current, standardized, and audit-ready.
Core Master Data Domains
Subsidiary / Location Master: Own legal entity, subsidiary, and facility records across ERP and regulatory systems; maintain accuracy of addresses, and site attributes.
Item / Product Master: Define and govern product catalog attributes, unit-of-measure hierarchies, item classification, and lifecycle status for all of Therakos’ Product Lines; ensure alignment across supply chain, commercial, and regulatory systems.
Customer Master: Govern account records for treatment centers, distributors, and other customers; collaborate with Customer Care and Business Operations on data-entry standards, validate new account submissions, and resolve duplicate or incomplete records.
Vendor / Supplier Master: Own supplier, contract-manufacturer, and service-provider records; partner with Procurement and Accounts Payable to control onboarding, changes, and deactivations.
Inventory / Batch Master: Maintain lot/batch attributes, unit-of-measure configurations, and traceability linkages to support supply chain and regulatory requirements.
Trade Compliance Master: Own and maintain Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications, country-of-origin designations, export-control classifications (ECCN/EAR), and import/export licensing attributes for all product lines.
Serialization Master: Govern unit-level and packaging-hierarchy serialization records (GS1/SSCC structures); ensure master data supports regulatory serialization requirements and traceability across Therakos’ Product Lines.
• Pricing Master: Govern price lists, list prices, contractual pricing tiers, and any discount structures in the ERP; collaborate with Finance and Commercial to process changes through defined approval workflows.
Data Quality & Error-Proofing
• Design and implement validation rules, field-level controls, and duplicate-check processes to prevent data entry errors at the point of creation, regardless of which function enters the data.
• Conduct routine audits across all master data domains; identify root causes of inaccurate, incomplete, or inconsistent records and drive corrective action.
• Collaborate with distributed data-entry teams (Customer Care, Procurement, Supply Chain, Commercial) to verify record accuracy before activation and to improve first-pass quality.
• Define and report master data quality KPIs (completeness, accuracy, timeliness, duplication rate) to leadership on a regular cadence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Act as the master data subject-matter expert for ERP implementations, system upgrades, and integration projects; define data migration standards and validate migrated records.
• Support new product launches, market expansions, and regulatory submissions by ensuring master data is complete and accurate prior to go-live milestones.
• Provide training and guidance to cross-functional stakeholders on master data policies, entry standards, and change-request procedures.

Requirements

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Data Science, or a related field required.
• Master’s degree or MBA a plus.
Experience
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in master data management, data governance, or ERP data administration in a manufacturing, medical device, or life-sciences environment.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite (or equivalent ERP) master data configuration and administration required.
• Hands-on experience with AI business use cases.
• Demonstrated experience owning multiple master data domains simultaneously (product, customer, vendor, pricing, or equivalent).
• Experience with trade compliance, serialization, or regulatory data domains preferred.
• Experience implementing data validation rules, error-proofing controls, and data quality KPI programs.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive data discipline without direct authority over data-entry personnel.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable investigating data discrepancies and driving root-cause resolution.
• Excellent communication skills — able to translate data governance requirements into clear guidance for non-technical stakeholders.
• High attention to detail with a continuous-improvement mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data reporting tools (Power BI or equivalent) for quality metric tracking.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or equivalent data governance certification.
• Experience in a GxP-regulated environment (FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with GS1 standards and pharmaceutical/device serialization frameworks.
