NH Master Electrician – Electrical Sales & Field Manager

$100,000 Base + 10% Uncapped Commission | $250,000+ Expected Total Compensation

Paul The Plumber is looking for a New Hampshire Licensed Master Electrician to take on a leadership and sales role within our growing Electrical Department.

This is not a position where you'll spend every day running service calls and completing installs yourself.

We're looking for an experienced Master Electrician who knows the trade, is great with customers, and is ready to take the next step in their career.

You'll help lead our electrical team while also running the department's new sales opportunities. You'll meet with homeowners, diagnose what they need, build the right options, sell the work, and then hand the job off to our electrical team to complete.

What the Role Looks Like

You'll work alongside our Electrical Service Manager and serve as the main technical resource for our electrical team, which currently includes 3 licensed electricians and 2 apprentices.

You'll be responsible for:

• Holding the NH Master Electrician License for the company

• Supporting, coaching, and providing technical guidance to our electricians and apprentices

• Working with the Electrical Service Manager on day-to-day department operations

• Helping maintain an accurate electrical pricebook

• Making sure our work is being performed safely, correctly, and to company standards

• Helping train and develop the electrical team

• Stepping in as the technical expert when the team needs support

The other major part of your job is selling electrical work.

You'll typically run 3–6 opportunities per day, including:

• Electrical diagnostics and repairs

• Generator quotes

• Panel and service upgrades

• Lighting projects

• EV chargers

• New circuits and electrical installations

• Electrical safety and system upgrades

• Larger residential electrical projects

We take an educational and consultative approach with our customers. We aren't looking for someone to walk into a home and push a particular product or the most expensive option.

We want someone who can listen to the homeowner, understand what they're trying to accomplish, thoroughly evaluate the situation, and explain what they find in a way that's easy to understand.

From there, you'll use your electrical experience to design tailored options based on the customer's specific needs, priorities, home, and budget. You'll walk them through the advantages and considerations of each option, answer their questions, and help them make an informed decision about what's right for them.

The best fit for this position will be someone who understands that strong sales results come from being a trusted expert, educating the customer, and providing the right solutions, not from high pressure sales tactics.

Once the customer chooses an option, our electricians complete the work.

Compensation

$100,000 base salary + 10% commission on everything you sell.

There is no cap on commission.

We expect the right person in this position to earn at least $250,000 per year in total compensation between salary and commission.

Who We're Looking For

You must have a valid New Hampshire Master Electrician License.

Beyond that, we're looking for someone who:

• Knows residential electrical service inside and out

• Is confident diagnosing electrical problems and designing solutions

• Communicates well with homeowners

• Can build and present multiple options instead of just giving one price

• Has strong sales instincts and isn't afraid to ask for the job

• Enjoys teaching and developing other electricians

• Can be a resource for technicians when they run into difficult situations

• Takes ownership and wants to help grow a department

• Understands that great sales come from educating customers and earning their trust

Sales experience is a major plus, but we're also interested in the right Master Electrician who has the personality, communication skills, and drive to become great at it.
