Master Scheduler
The Master Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules to ensure the timely delivery of projects. This role requires a strong understanding of scheduling tools, project management principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The Master Scheduler will play a critical role in aligning project timelines with strategic objectives and resource availability.
Responsibilities:

Schedule Development and Maintenance:

Create and maintain detailed project schedules using advanced scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).

Ensure schedules are aligned with project milestones, deadlines, and resource availability.

Resource Allocation:

Coordinate and allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Work closely with project managers and team leads to balance workloads and address resource constraints.

Risk Management:

Identify potential scheduling risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Conduct regular schedule risk assessments and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Stakeholder Communication:

Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on schedule status, progress, and any changes.

Facilitate meetings with project teams to review schedules and address any issues.

Process Improvement:

Continuously evaluate and improve scheduling processes and tools.

Implement best practices in scheduling and project management.

Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure all scheduling activities comply with company policies, contractual requirements, and industry standards.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of schedules and related communications.

Support and Mentorship:

Provide guidance and support to junior schedulers and project team members.

Mentor and train team members on scheduling best practices and tools.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is ideal.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in scheduling, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
- Experience in defense, intelligence, or federal projects is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is preferred.
- Certification in scheduling (e.g., Certified Associate in Project Management Scheduling (CAPS)) is a plus.
