Material Control Supervisor
General Characteristics (Job Summary)
- Supervise the work of material purchase officers, warehouse officers and material control operators to ensure that department goals and objectives are met.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Draft procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines.
- Plan and organize each department activities to meet goals and objectives.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external.
- Ensure timely and accurate procurement of materials and supplies necessary for the operation of the sites oil and gas industry.
- Review and analyze procurement data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Provide training and development opportunities to procurement department staff at site.
- Supervise inland transportation schedule of materials for arriving to the site.
- Supervise the schedule of materials loading/unloading and readjustment.
- Draft logistics plan and related procedure with procurement, construction, project controls and project management to ensure timely delivery of materials to the job site.
- Supervise FMC system.
- Draft ESDR status and confirm of corrective action.
- Draft inventory material and report to construction team.
- Issue material for each stage of construction.
- Draft preservation for the inventory material.
- Prepare spare part hand over to the client.
- Prepare balance material to purchase.
- Prepare balance material to handover.
- Control material in the warehouse, lay down yard, and jobsite location.
- Assures environment of warehouse concerning cleaning clients` needs.
- Control requisitioned material, ensuring proper authorization and maintain appropriate needs.
- Supervise inventory of warehouse at site.
- Report activities dealing with material issue.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
Experience
- 1 to 6 years of experience.
- Significant knowledge of procurement best practices and procedures.
- Experience in oil / gas / petrochemical or power plants.
- Engineering and Construction Company working experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge on purchasing and expediting.
- Material sourcing
- Contracts and resource management.
- Material logistics
- Supply chain management.
- Documentation and reporting.
- Must understand the products/technical drawings.
- Technical knowledge about raw materials and tools.
- Knowledge of billing practices and controls.
- Knowledge, preference and experience in MRP/ERP systems.
- Knowledge of procurement policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
- Knowledge of materials and supplies used in the oil and gas industry.
- Language Skills : English (Fluent)
