Material Controller (1-Year Contract)

About the Project
Join one of Singapore's largest Waste-to-Energy infrastructure projects supporting the development and operation of a state-of-the-art Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF). This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary EPC project team responsible for delivering a nationally significant power generation and environmental infrastructure project.
As a Material Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring materials are accurately planned, received, stored, tracked and issued to support construction and commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the receipt, inspection, storage and issuance of project materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using SAP Material Management (SAP MM) or relevant SAP modules.
- Monitor material availability and ensure timely delivery to support construction schedules.
- Coordinate closely with Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics, Engineering and Site Construction teams.
- Track material movements and maintain material status reports.
- Ensure all incoming materials comply with purchase orders, delivery documentation and project specifications.
- Raise material requests and coordinate replenishment where necessary.
- Investigate and resolve material discrepancies, shortages or damaged deliveries.
- Maintain proper documentation including Goods Receipt (GR), Material Transfer and inventory records.
- Support stock-taking activities and inventory reconciliation.
- Ensure proper storage and preservation of project materials in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain compliance with company HSE, quality and project requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Material Control, Warehouse Operations or Materials Management within EPC, Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Heavy Industrial or Infrastructure projects.
- Hands-on experience using SAP is mandatory.
- Good understanding of material receiving, inventory control and warehouse processes.
- Experience supporting large-scale construction or industrial projects is highly preferred.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail with good organisational skills.
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
