Material Engineer - Joinery/Fit Out

· Study the Project's specification and prepare the material log and submissions based on the baseline program.

· Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors.

· Coordinate with the Engineering team for the required arrangement on shop drawings.

· Coordinate with the Commercial team for the material Budget.

· Prepare the technical compliance statement for materials, material properties/ data sheet, and responsible for all material & sample submissions for approval.

· Prepare presentations & material boards.

· Test/ verify materials under different conditions to assess how resistant they are, i.e. to heat, corrosion or chemical attack

· Analysing material test data.

· Coordinate for Mockups and inspect it on site to ensure the materials technical compliance.

· Work on value engineering whenever necessary.

· Writing reports for project engineers and managers

· Developing building prototypes

· Considering waste/environmental impact arising from material use.

· Verify materials properties against green building regulation, lead/ estidama.
