Forklift Operator / Material Handler, Starting at $19/hr
1st Shift, Full-Time, Monday – Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (OT and weekends may be required)

Sunland Logistics Solutions has an immediate need for Full-Time Forklift Operators/Material Handlers at our Greenville, SC (Blackhawk Rd) facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, or hand truck, take full charge of your assigned dock area, verify loads, and process all accounts. You'll also support general labor and warehouse maintenance to keep our operation running safely and smoothly.
What You'll Do:
- Unload trucks using a hand truck, pallet jack, or forklift
- Read customer orders, work orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shipped
- Verify and note the count and condition of cargo received, knowing when to refuse or accept with notation
- Record documents on appropriate forms and/or logbooks
- Perform forklift duties and learn to cube basic loads
- Assist with warehouse maintenance tasks, including sweeping floors and storing equipment
- Perform required before, during, and after-operation user maintenance and provide required reports
- Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you in excellent condition
- Scan outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and quality control
- Perform load proof (pictures)
- Comply with all procedures established to ensure product is properly controlled
- Identify damaged items staged in outbound bays
- Inspect outbound products for quality assurance
Requirements:
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate a RF scanner, forklift, hand truck, and pallet jack
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer needs
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Read, comprehend, and complete basic checklists, forms, or other related documents
- Balance team and individual responsibilities
- Must be dependable—consistently at work and on time
Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of related work experience
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods walking, standing, stooping, kneeling and crouching/crawling.
- The Team Member is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
- Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds and perform physically exerting tasks in a warehouse environment that is not climate controlled, meaning the indoor temperature fluctuates throughout each season.
