TITLE: MATERIAL HANDLER
FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT
A SHIFT: MONDAY TO WEDNESDAY AND EVERY OTHER THURSDAY FROM 6:00 AM-6:00 PM
REPORTS TO: SR. MANAGER, OPERATIONS SUPPORT
SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Sr. Manager of Operations Support, the Material Handler is responsible for completing the Asset Tracking System (ATS) forms for equipment/tool repairs or cleaning; reviewing and issuing credits for material transfers; performing research and identifying sources for new or alternate suppliers for parts or equipment; preparing and pulling Preventative Maintenance (PM) kits for scheduled tool maintenance; tracking, monitoring, and maintaining appropriate inventory levels; and organizing, issuing, and monitoring purchase requisitions. This position is located in Milpitas, California.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Reviews and completes ATS forms for equipment/tool repairs or cleaning
- Reviews and issues credits for material transfers, including tracking and issuing purchase requisitions and responding to inquiries from other teams or departments as to the status of orders
- Performs research and sources new or alternate suppliers for parts or equipment; recommends appropriate action
- Prepares and pulls PM kits for both scheduled and unscheduled tool/equipment maintenance
- Tracks, monitors, and receives parts and/or materials to ensure that appropriate inventory levels are maintained consistently
- Unpacks parts or materials and verifies them against work orders, purchase orders, invoices, return authorizations, or other documentation
- Performs cycle counts, transaction audits, and investigates and resolves material discrepancies
- Responds to inquiries from employees, managers, and other departments
- Loads and unloads materials, parts, or other inventory items using a forklift and/or pallet jack
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level
