Material+ - Software Development Engineer - Generative AI Solutions

Role:

The engineer should have strong software engineering experience with a focus on Python-based backend services, Generative AI solutions, React.js applications, and modern development and deployment practices.

Tech Stack:

- Python: FastAPI, REST APIs, pytest, OOP, dependency management

- Generative AI: LLMs, RAG, embeddings, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, observability

- React.js: JavaScript/TypeScript, hooks, state management, performance optimization

- MongoDB: Data modeling, aggregation pipelines, query optimization

- DevOps: Docker, CI/CD (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI/Jenkins), Linux

What we're looking for:

- Minimum of 4 - 6 years of experience in production-grade software engineering.

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions.

- Experience with API design, application security, logging, monitoring, and observability.

- Ability to troubleshoot issues across application, AI/LLM, database, container, and deployment layers.
