Position Overview
The Material Transfer Driver plays a critical role in supporting SunPro's manufacturing and logistics operations by ensuring the timely and safe transportation of materials, components, and finished products between the facility, vendors, suppliers, and delivery locations. This position directly contributes to production efficiency and operational goals by maintaining the flow of materials required to meet customer commitments and departmental MBOs. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and committed to supporting both logistics and manufacturing teams.
What you'll do
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid Class A, B and C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred.
- Clean driving record and ability to meet company and DOT driving requirements.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, material handling, logistics, delivery, or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Ability to safely load, unload, and transport materials and equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with vendors, supervisors, and coworkers.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, climb, and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and maintaining a professional attitude.
