MATERIALS EXPEDITER (FORK LIFT/MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR)

The primary purpose of this position is to route and expedite the movement of parts, end items, supplies, and materials within production and repair facilities to meet priority needs. The position required the use of forklift trucks and light motor vehicles.

Receives, routes, and moves parts, assemblies, components, and other materials into and out of industrial shops. Selects parts and materials to be turned into Supply Receives requests for parts and material needed to support productions work requirements. Operates electric, LPG, or diesel-powered forklift trucks capable of lifting loads weighing less than 10,000 pounds as high as 168 inches. Drives one or more types of trucks such as pickup, panel, and flat bread trucks, which typically have a gross vehicle weight of 10,000 pounds or less, on public roads at highway speeds. Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work enviroment.
