Summary
Handles warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and shipping materials using forklifts and inventory systems in a military education facility.
About the Position: This position is located in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. All candidates must reside within the local commuting area where the position is located. Local commuting area is defined as the geographic area surrounding a work site that encompasses the localities where people live and reasonably can be expected to travel back and forth daily to work based on the generally held expectations of the local community. (5 CFR 575.203)
Work independently in a wide range of warehousing activities, including receiving, storing, selecting, and shipping general or specialized bulk and bin materials and equipment.
Assists in moving materials from schools or other vendor sources.
Prepares shipping and inventory documents with required data for manual or automated inventory systems.
Loads and unloads shipments from trucks and other material conveyances using fork lifts, manual and mechanized pallet jacks, side loaders, and automated guided vehicles.
Tag items with a barcode.
Assists in the routine issue of any warehouse stock material to any department of the school system.
Assists in the delivery of mail and supply material throughout the school system.
