Materials Handler

About the Position: This position is located at Bldg. 4389 Beaufort Rd in the Materiel Management Warehouse and is temperature controlled. Work is performed 8 hours per day, M-F (except Federal holidays) within core hours of 0700-1630. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Receive and store specialized materials, equipment and medical gases for a medical facility.

Manage and dispose of hazardous waste and materials in accordance with policies and procedures.

Inspect materials prior to receiving for safe handling of hazardous property.

Maintain accountability of property until a determination is made for proper disposal.

Utilize computer applications, such as, Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), Defense Medical Logistics Support Systems (DMLSS), word processing, spreadsheet, and database design systems to manage equipment and materials.
