Materials Supervisor

Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

• Supervise, motivate, and evaluate department personnel.

• Insure personnel training meets company guidelines and is conducted in a timely manner.

• Schedule shipments of finished products insuring all meet scheduled dock times for on-time delivery to customer.

• Inventory and audit all existing materials and finished goods to insure inventory turnover is being maintained and physical counts match computer system.

• Oversee processes and security to insure flow of materials meets delivery to manufacturing processes.

• Insures maintenance of equipment is being performed and that all equipment is kept in safe operating condition.

• Review and/or investigate all incidents involving Material Department personnel.

• Other duties as assigned by the Material Control Manager.

Qualifications -

Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Minimum two years of supervisory experience.

• Knowledge of EDI, DDL, and bar-coding systems.

• PC skills, customer packaging/labeling requirements.
