The ME Mold Designer Technician is responsible for the design, development, and continuous improvement of injection molds used for TE Connectivity products. The position supports mold projects from concept through manufacturing, assembly, validation, and production release while ensuring compliance with TE mold standards, cost targets, quality requirements, and project timelines. The role works closely with product engineering, mold manufacturing, mold assembly, and molding teams to deliver robust and maintainable tooling solutions.
Responsibilities
Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturing) reviews.
Support Moldflow analysis and interpretation of simulation results.
Evaluate filling behavior, cooling performance, shrinkage, weld lines, and part quality risks.
Optimize mold designs for manufacturability, maintenance, cycle time, and cost.
Develop 3D and 2D injection mold designs using Creo CAD software.
Create detailed mold assembly drawings and manufacturing drawings.
Design mold components including cavities, cores, slides, lifters, cooling circuits, ejection systems, and hot runner systems.
Apply GD&T principles and TE mold standards to all designs.
Support mold concept selection and feasibility studies.

Technician Diploma (Bac+2/Bac+3) in Mechanical Engineering, Tooling Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.

1 to 2 years of experience in injection mold design or tooling engineering.
