Main responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and staffing of the Meat Department to ensure efficiency and sales performance
- Supervise, train, schedule, and assign duties to meat cutters and meat clerks
- Deliver high-quality customer service and build customer loyalty through product knowledge and service
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct monthly inventories, and maintain accurate records
- Order meat products, verify deliveries for quality and accuracy, and ensure proper stock levels
- Maintain merchandising standards, pricing accuracy, and department presentation
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company policies and procedures
- Prepare, cut, trim, and merchandise meat products using appropriate equipment safely
- Analyze reports to identify sales opportunities and improve department performance

Abilities:
- Ability to operate meat processing equipment (saws, grinders, knives, tenderizers) safely
- Ability to read, understand, and follow company policies and procedures
- Ability to analyze reports and adjust operations accordingly
- Ability to work varied schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance
Other requirements:
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 35 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods
- Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment with occasional outdoor exposure
- Compliance with grooming, uniform, and workplace conduct standards
- Adherence to food safety and operational policies
