In this role, you will be responsible for Quality Assurance and Quality Control of Apple’s OEM factories. You will mainly focus on E2E quality control and drive cross-functional teams' failure analysis (FA) end-to-end.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of engineering experience in Mechanical Quality, Manufacturing, Metrology, or Product Design, preferably in high-volume consumer electronics.
- Measurement Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with mechanical measurement methodologies. Strong familiarity with programming, operating, or analyzing data from CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), OMM (Optical Measurement Machine), and 3D scanners.
- GD&T & TA: High proficiency in interpreting complex 2D drawings, strict GD&T, and validating 1D/2D/3D Tolerance Stack-up Analysis (TA).
- Cosmetic Experience: Proven track record in defining and managing cosmetic quality for premium materials. Deep understanding of cosmetic manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, anodizing, stamping, polishing).
Preferred Qualifications
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical and root-cause analysis skills. Proven ability to use structured frameworks (8D, DOE, Fishbone) to solve complex mechanical fit and clearance issues.
- Data-Driven: Highly proficient in statistical analysis tools (JMP, Minitab) to analyze yield data, CPK, SPC, and drive Gauge R&R (GR&R) / correlation studies.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex dimensional data into clear technical presentations for cross-functional leadership.
- Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel internationally to manufacturing sites.
