Mechanic Assistant (Automobile) | East | 6 Days

Job Responsibilities

• Assist senior mechanics with vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair work
• Support diagnosis and repairs on engine, transmission, suspension, steering, braking, air-conditioning and electrical systems
• Help carry out vehicle inspections and report any mechanical concerns found
• Prepare vehicles and work areas before repairs, and follow job instructions accurately
• Learn and apply proper diagnostic and repair procedures under the guidance of the Head Mechanic
• Keep tools, equipment and the workshop clean, organised and in good working condition
• Follow workplace safety procedures and wear PPE at all times
• Report equipment defects, hazards and incidents promptly
• Perform other duties assigned by the Head Mechanic or management

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a car mechanic or in a similar workshop role
• Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems
• Keen to learn, take instructions well and work as part of a team
