MECHANIC ENGINEER

Key Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, servicing, and repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, engine, transmission, braking, steering, suspension, and air-conditioning faults.
• Carry out preventive maintenance according to manufacturers' recommendations.
• Replace defective parts and components using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Conduct engine tune-ups, oil changes, brake servicing, tyre replacement, and wheel alignment.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure quality workmanship.
• Maintain accurate service records and repair reports.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company procedures.
• Keep the workshop clean, organized, and safe.
• Support fleet maintenance planning and minimize vehicle downtime.
• Liaise with customers or internal departments regarding repair status and recommendations.
• Assist in emergency breakdown repairs when required

Requirements

• Diploma, NITEC, Higher NITEC, or equivalent in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (entry-level candidates with appropriate training are welcome to apply).
• Good knowledge of petrol and diesel engines.
• Familiarity with vehicle diagnostic scanners and repair equipment.
• Ability to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Valid Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence (preferred).
• Team player with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
