MECHANICAL/CIVIL CAD DESIGNER
Key Responsibilities
Design & Drafting: Produce precise 2D drawings, 3D models, and, for civil roles, topographical, utility, grading, and drainage plans.
Mechanical Detailing: Create fabrication, assembly, and general arrangement drawings, including weld call outs and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
Civil Infrastructure: Develop site development layouts, sewage systems, highway plans, and structural drawings.
Technical Compliance: Review sketches and specifications to ensure adherence to engineering standards, design concepts, and regulatory codes.
Collaboration: Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and project managers to convert rough sketches into final, constructive designs.
Modeling/Analysis: Perform material calculations, such as excavation tonnage or structural component sizing.
Requirements
Key Skills & Qualifications
Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SolidWorks, or similar software.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of mechanical fabrication, steel structures, or civil site development.
Educational Background: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Architectural Drafting.
Experience: 5-8 years of experience in mechanical/civil drafting, specifically in power transmission, utility, or industrial projects.
