Mechanical Collision Technician - Columbus

Fyda Freightliner Columbus is the largest retailer of new and used Expediters in the United States. Technician Responsibilities:
The primary duties of a Collision Technician include performing diagnostic tests to find faults, analyzing diagnostic results, and making necessary repairs.
- Running diagnostic tests on vehicles and analyzing test results.
- Replacing and reinstalling vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, suspension, frame and braking systems, ETC
- Checking vehicle lighting systems/electrical diagnostics and repair
- Completes service and repair assignments efficiently, safely, and correctly to pass quality inspections per estimates
- Comply with company safety policies and procedures.
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques.
- Examines damaged vehicle and efficiently plans repair process.
- Works and communicates with others on vehicle repair status.
- Files, grinds, body fills and sands surfaces, using air tools and hand tools to a primer finish.
- Directs the work of an apprentice in the performance of tasks when needed, i.e., unusual problems or questions and explains procedures to assistant.
- Basic understanding of mechanical assemblies, cooling and A/C packages.
- Performs quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
