Mechanical Commissioning Engineer

  • Lead mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Commission static equipment, including vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, piping systems, and packaged units.
  • Commission rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, and fans.
  • Supervise alignment, flushing, leak testing, pressure testing, lubrication, trial runs, and performance testing.
  • Troubleshoot vibration, alignment, leakage, mechanical, and performance-related issues.
  • Review P&IDs, mechanical drawings, equipment datasheets, vendor documents, and commissioning procedures.
  • Supervise mechanical technicians and coordinate with construction, engineering, operations, vendors, and client teams.
  • Prepare test reports, punch lists, commissioning records, and handover documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with PTW, LOTO, isolation, and HSE procedures.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including proven mechanical commissioning experience.
  • Candidates with only construction, installation, or maintenance experience will not be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of static and rotating equipment commissioning.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and team supervision skills.
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, equipment drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas and desalination projects will be highly preferred.
