Mechanical Construction Manager (Wastewater)
Summary
Mechanical Construction Manager overseeing water/wastewater treatment projects in the Detroit area, managing schedules, budgets, vendors, subcontractors, and project documentation including shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders.
- Pay: $90k - $140k
- Location: Farmington Hills MI 48336
- Schedule - Mon - Fri 7a - 4p
Responsibilities:
- Review vendor data and shop drawings for conformance to project plans and specifications
- Maintain Logs (Shop Drawings, Procurement, RFIs, RFQs, Change Orders)
- Prepare and manage project schedules and budgets
- Supervise/Manage Employees, Subcontractors & Vendors
- Coordination of the work
- Maintain relationships with Owners, Contractors, Subcontractors, and Vendors
- Timely recognition of project issues
- Review drawings and specifications with the project team and highlight any areas of concern
- 5+ years of experience as a project manager within water/wastewater industry
- Self-disciplined / motivated individual with strong verbal and written communication skills and solid organization and time management skills
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to follow through and meet deadlines
- Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, and schedules
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple project tasks and respond to client requests
- Knowledge of construction and scheduling techniques
