Mechanical Design Engineer; Automotive / Component Owner

We are seeking an experienced Component Responsible Engineer to join our team, focusing on the development and maintenance of non-moving engine components for next-generation heavy-duty vehicles. As part of the Base Engine department, you will work cross-functionally and contribute to developing world-class combustion engines for sustainable transport solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical delivery and maintenance of assigned components, ensuring all requirements are met.
• Drive activities for harmonizing component solutions, aligned with system roadmaps.
• Collaborate with purchasing, operations, quality teams, and suppliers to optimize design and development.
• Contribute proactively to technical roadmaps with innovative solutions and ideas.

Skills & Qualifications:

• B.Sc. or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in designing casted components in metal or plastic.
• Proficient in Creo; experience working cross-functionally as a component responsible.
• Strong technical interest and a collaborative approach to developing integrated component solutions.
• Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented mindset.
