Mechanical Design Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

  • Prepare drawings and 3D models of mechanical and hydraulic components in Autodesk Inventor
  • Produce and check design calculations to satisfy all aspects of design integrity in compliance with company procedures and applicable design codes
  • Design with an emphasis on safety, quality, reliability, efficiency and cost
  • Produce and check design and manufacturing drawings utilizing CAD system(s)
  • Participate in Design Reviews chaired by others
  • Provide support for assembly, testing and onsite commissioning
  • Work in a manner that protects the health, safety and welfare of yourself and others
  • Actively participate in company improvement initiatives
  • Adhere to all company policies


REQUIRED BACKGROUND

  • Minimum of 2 year relevant experience in a similar position or industry
  • Experienced with Autodesk Inventor/Autodesk vault or similar 3D CAD software
  • Experienced with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experienced in manufacturing of parts (useful but not essential)
  • Very good English language skills
