Who You Are
We are seeking a Mechanical Designer or an Entry to Associate Level Engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and loves solving complex design challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare weight distribution summaries and verify compliance with applicable transportation regulations.
- Collaborate with sales teams to benchmark competitors and develop innovative trailer designs.
- Generate detailed designs and validate them using SolidWorks and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Ensure all designs comply with CMVSS/FMVSS and other relevant standards.
- Support production teams by providing clear guidance, troubleshooting assistance, and actionable design improvements.
- Maintain proactive and professional communication with internal stakeholders and clients.
Required Qualifications
- Expertise in steel fabrication processes, including cutting, forming, machining, and welding.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Understanding of design for manufacturability principles specific to steel fabrication.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented capabilities.
- Independent self-starter with effective time management and organizational skills
Education and Experience
Open to various education and experience levels—from entry-level graduates to senior-level designers and engineers, depending on relevant experience.
- Engineering Path: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Open to all experience levels, including entry-level, based on other relevant experience).
- Design Path: Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Engineering Design and Drafting, or a related technical discipline.
- Equivalent practical work experience in lieu of a diploma is highly valued and welcomed.
- Prefer 3 years in mechanical design within manufacturing or related industries.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software, specifically SolidWorks.

Work Schedule
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Schedule: Flexible with regular business hours typically 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
