Mechanical / Electrical Inspector - Data Center

Summary

On-site inspector ensuring mechanical and electrical systems in data centers meet design specs and safety codes; reviews HVAC, power, and testing activities.

  • Conduct routine inspections of mechanical or electrical installations (HVAC systems, chilled water piping, generator systems, switchgear, UPS, cabling, etc.)
  • Ensure all works are executed in accordance with design drawings, technical specifications, and applicable codes
  • Monitor contractor activities and verify quality of workmanship
  • Identify non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are implemented
  • Witness and verify testing & commissioning activities (FAT/SAT, pre-functional, functional testing)
  • Maintain detailed inspection records, reports, and documentation
  • Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical issues
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and project QA/QC procedures
  • Support handover documentation and final acceptance processes
  • Minimum 5–10 years of inspection experience, preferably in data center, mission-critical, advanced manufacturing projects
  • Strong understanding of international standards (ASHRAE, IEEE, NEC, IEC, etc.)
  • Experience in QA/QC inspection processes and documentation
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and coordination abilities
