Mechanical Engineer

<About the Role>
We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to support new product introduction and production readiness for our automated beverage equipment. This role will work closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, Supply Chain, Quality, and manufacturing partners to transition engineering designs into reliable and scalable production.

The ideal candidate is not only capable of mechanical design, but also understands how products are actually built, assembled, tested, and improved in production.

<Responsibilities>
● Support mechanical design and engineering changes for new and existing products.
Maintain and release mechanical drawings, BOMs, specifications, and engineering changes.
● Review designs for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA), including tolerance, material, fastening, assembly sequence, and manufacturing processes.
● Develop and improve assembly processes, work instructions, fixtures, and production tooling.
● Identify opportunities to improve product reliability, manufacturability, assembly efficiency, quality, and cost.
● Drive mechanical production readiness from engineering prototype through pilot build and mass production.
● Investigate mechanical issues found during production and field operation, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
● Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to identify and resolve mechanical issues before and during production.
● Support prototype builds, engineering validation, pilot builds, and production ramp.
● Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and operations teams in Taiwan, the U.S., and manufacturing partners.
● Perform a hands-on approach to prototyping and using basic measurement equipment, including the ability to design required jig and fixture setups, and Proof of Principle machine evaluation and buy-off.

<Requirements>
● Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience
● 3 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, machine design, and/or industrial automation
● Solid modeling software experience (Creo)
● Good understanding of mechanical drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing processes.
● Good knowledge of physical “first principles” and ability to perform analytical calculations
● Good knowledge or experience of common manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, injection molding, and mechanical assembly.
● Experience working directly with suppliers, contract manufacturers, or production teams.
● Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
● Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment
● Comfortable working in both Mandarin Chinese and English in an engineering environment.
