MECHANICAL ENGINEER CUM DRAFTER

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of total working experience, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering and drafting.

• Must possess advanced practical knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Revit MEP and Navisworks 5D.

• Must be able to independently prepare, modify and coordinate complex mechanical engineering drawings and 3D models.

• Must have experience in multidisciplinary design coordination, model integration, clash detection and technical drawing revisions.

• Must be able to interpret complex engineering drawings, technical specifications and project requirements with minimal supervision.

• Must be capable of handling urgent drawing revisions and multiple project deliverables within tight deadlines.

• Must be willing to work on a 24-hour rotating shift basis, including day shifts, night shifts, weekends and public holidays, subject to operational requirements.

• Must be prepared to work according to project schedules and changing site requirements.

• Must be able to work independently under pressure and take responsibility for assigned engineering deliverables.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare, develop and revise mechanical engineering drawings using AutoCAD, Revit and Revit MEP.

• Develop and coordinate 3D models and project information using Navisworks 5D.

• Perform model coordination, clash identification and resolution across multiple engineering disciplines.

• Review drawings for technical accuracy and compliance with project specifications.

• Coordinate with project engineers, consultants and other relevant parties on design discrepancies and drawing revisions.

• Manage time-sensitive drafting and coordination tasks to meet project deadlines.

• Provide technical support for ongoing engineering and construction activities.

• Perform other engineering duties as assigned by management.

Working Arrangement

The successful candidate must be fully available for a 24-hour rotating shift arrangement and be prepared to work day or night shifts according to operational requirements.
