Mechanical Engineer

Delonghi is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to drive component and sub-assembly design through the New Product Development process, from specification to Start of Production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, right-first-time designs and balance performance with obsolescence and cost.

The role focuses on CAD design, design reviews, and DFMEA to deliver high-quality products for a global market, working with moulding departments and supporting prototype testing.

Drive component and sub-assembly design through NPD from spec to Start of Production. Lead CAD design for parts and layouts (3D/2D) and perform design reviews. Prepare feasibility studies with Industrial Design and R&D. Organize and participate in technical design reviews. Prepare technical documentation for project status and next steps in reviews and NPD meetings. Collaborate with local R&D and Purchasing on costs/investments. Experience in designing mechanical components and systems. Proficiency with Siemens NX for 3D/2D layouts. Knowledge of mass production product development. Familiarity with laboratory equipment and evaluating test results. Ability to conduct DFMEA documentation.
