Mechanical Engineer

Prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQs for mechanical and HVAC works in MEP projects.

Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work to identify project requirements.

Perform quantity take-offs for HVAC ductwork, chilled water piping, ventilation systems, and mechanical equipment.

Prepare material, labour, equipment, and installation cost breakdowns.

Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive pricing.

Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions.

Analyse project drawings and identify discrepancies, missing details, and potential cost variations.

Prepare rate analysis, cost comparisons, and budget estimates.

Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and internal project teams.

Prepare variation claims, additional work quotations, and revised cost estimates.

Follow up with suppliers and subcontractors for updated prices and technical offers.

Ensure estimates are accurate and submitted within tender deadlines.

Provide technical and commercial support during tender negotiations.

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum 4–6 years of experience in mechanical estimation, preferably in UAE MEP contracting companies.

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water piping, ductwork, ventilation, and mechanical equipment.

Experience in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and rate analysis.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.

Knowledge of UAE market rates, supplier pricing, and subcontractor quotations.

Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and tender documents.

Good negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Experience in high-rise buildings, commercial projects, and residential developments is preferred.
