Mechanical Engineer

Job Requirements & Responsibilities

• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in a mechanical testing laboratory, with hands-on experience in tensile testing, bend testing, Charpy impact testing, PQR testing, and other related mechanical tests.
• Strong knowledge of and familiarity with international standards and specifications related to mechanical testing (ASTM, ISO, ASME, AWS, API, etc.).
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and provide technical explanations during client witness testing activities.
• Capable of working independently, managing priorities, and continuously improving laboratory productivity and operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to discuss technical requirements, commercial terms, and project schedules with clients.
• Responsible for providing timely updates to clients regarding job progress, testing status, and completion schedules.
• Ability to identify business opportunities and secure new testing projects, contracts, and long-term client relationships.
• Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of technicians and laboratory personnel to ensure all testing activities are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Ensure all testing activities comply with laboratory quality management system requirements and relevant accreditation standards.
• Review test results, laboratory records, and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Coordinate laboratory resources, equipment utilization, and manpower planning to meet customer requirements and delivery commitments.
