  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, promoting innovation and efficiency in the design process
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance as needed, though leadership is not a primary focus of this role
  • Analyze mechanical systems using both classical engineering methods and computer-aided tools (FEA, thermal/structural analysis)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Over 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on the design of transformers or related products.
  • Proficiency with design and analysis tools, including electrical and thermal analysis software (OPS Transformer Design Software, SolidWorks)
  • Familiarity with industry standards (UL, CSA, IEEE, NEMA) and regulatory requirements for transformers or components
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Experience conducting failure analysis and implementing corrective actions for design-related issues
