Mechanical Engineer

Officina Stellare S.p.A in Italy is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to plan and execute mechanical systems for optical applications. You will design, develop and test mechanical components, collaborating with manufacturing, optical, electronic and AIT teams.

Applicants should have a Mechanical or Aerospace degree, 5+ years in high-tech environments, and strong CAD and analysis tool knowledge with SolidWorks as a preferred CAD. English proficiency is required.

Prepare manufacturing drawings, bill of materials, and integration procedures. Perform structural analysis of mechanical assemblies (static and dynamic). Participate in meetings with customers and suppliers. Contribute to structural and thermal tests. Prepare high-quality design and test documentation. University degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or equivalent. 5+ years of experience in high-tech companies. Strong knowledge of 3D CAD environments (SolidWorks preferred). Strong knowledge of engineering drawing standards. Knowledge of Femap and Nastran (preferred) or Ansys. Good command of English (read and spoken). Excellent problem solving and proactive attitude.
