About Power Electronics

At Power Electronics, we believe in a cleaner, more efficient, and sustainable future, driven by technological innovation. We are a global leader in renewable energy and power electronics, with a presence in more than 36 countries and a team of over 3,000 people committed to a single purpose: transforming energy into progress. Every day, we work to design solutions that drive change towards a world that is more responsible with the planet and with future generations.

Power Electronics' vision is to lead renewable energy generation and contribute to a clean and sustainable world for future generations.

What you'll do

Participate in the design and development of innovative mechanical engineering solutions for industrial automation projects, contributing both to the creation of new facilities and to the improvement of existing systems. Likewise, you will design tooling and test benches to optimize production processes, increasing the efficiency, productivity, and quality of industrial operations. Functions you will perform:

  • Participate in the study and analysis of the specifications for new automated projects from a mechanical standpoint.
  • Collaborate in the development of the mechanical design of automation projects, considering the sequence of operations, machinery integration, and material flow.
  • Participate in the design and development of innovative mechanical engineering solutions for new automation projects and implement improvements in existing facilities and equipment.
  • Design and develop tooling, auxiliary equipment, and test benches oriented toward optimizing production processes, improving operational efficiency, and guaranteeing product quality.
  • Collaborate in the selection and specification of machinery, mechanical components, and industrial systems, ensuring the compatibility, reliability, and performance of the designed solutions.
  • Prepare the mechanical technical documentation of the project: manufacturing and assembly drawings, bills of materials, technical specifications, operation and maintenance manuals, among others.
  • Support the commissioning of assigned projects, participating in the validation and optimization of the designed mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with the Processes, Production, Maintenance, and Quality departments to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions that reduce cycle times and improve productivity.
  • Resolve incidents and non-conformities related to suppliers, proposing technical solutions that facilitate the correct development of manufacturing and assembly.
  • Perform or collaborate on mechanical simulations and structural calculations to guarantee the strength, safety, and integrity of the designed equipment.
  • Participate actively in continuous improvement, standardization, and design optimization initiatives to increase the robustness and scalability of the developed solutions.

What we're looking for

  • Academic background: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
  • Professional experience: Minimum experience of at least 1 year in mechanical design and/or industrial automation
  • Languages: English B2.

Nice to have

  • Technical knowledge: 3D modeling (3DEXPERIENCE CATIA desirable). Professional level of Office suite; knowledge of SAP is valuable.

What you'll get

  • Flexible schedule.
  • Continuous training through our Corporate University.
  • Benefits such as subsidized cafeteria, on-site gym, and personalized PEbenefits.
  • Flexible compensation plan: transportation, childcare, training, among others.
