Mechanical Engineer

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing DHA for certain personnel in the DoD workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Perform office and field mechanical engineering duties associated with the design layout, and construction of large industrial, ensuring that the buildings mechanical systems are planned in accordance with standards and constructed in accordance with contract plans and specifications.

Perform office and field mechanical engineering duties associated with the design layout, and construction of large industrial and office buildings.

Ensure buildings mechanical systems are planned in accordance with standard practices and constructed in accordance with contract plans and specifications.

Review and recommend approval of mechanical equipment, shop drawings, and technical date submitted by contractors.

Investigate when directed a variety of problems which the contractor experiences in construction.

Participate in final on-site inspection.
