THE ROLE AND YOUR IMPACT AT DOTT

Full-time, 4 to 6 months, and hybrid (3 days/week in the office)

Dott is the leading shared micro-mobility operator in Europe, operating over 200,000 e-scooters and e-bikes across over 400 cities in Europe and the Middle East. Supporting this vast fleet, the Vehicle Product Team is acting as the technical experts on development, repair, maintenance, and safety of the vehicles.

During your internship, you will help solve mechanical quality issues on several different vehicles as well as develop ideas and concepts for feature improvements. You will work in cross-functional teams to solve issues quickly and adequately. You will also assist with general duties in our engineering workshop, including light mechanical and prototyping work as needed.

  • Inspect and perform root cause analysis of failed vehicle components and other vehicle issues

  • Creation and validation of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents

  • Research, concept generation, design, and prototyping of new projects and components

  • Component validation testing

  • Assist with test vehicle teardowns and simple maintenance

  • Perform general duties in our Berlin engineering workshop (cleaning, organizing, packaging & shipping)

  • General admin and documentation

  • Occasional visits to our local operations warehouse as needed

YOU’LL FIT GREAT WITH THESE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Enrolled in a Mechanical/Automotive/Mechatronics Engineering (or similar) course (Bachelor's or Master's).

  • Passed all first-year classes.

  • Proficient in English, verbal and written.

  • Hands-on experience. Hobby and/or professional.

  • Affinity with bikes/scooters/motorcycles is a plus.
