The
Position…
With the recent growth in their business, they are
currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter Apprentice to join
the team in their engineering facility.This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to pursue a career in the mechanical industry, with a diversity of projects and skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prep and assembly of manufactured components
- Installation and securing hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Manufacturing or modifying components
- Troubleshooting and repair of faulty equipment
- Reading and interpreting drawings or specifications
- Maintaining and adhering to health and safety in the workplace
- Ensuring a clean and safe work environment
- Normal hours - 10.5 hours Monday to Thursday;
- Normal hours - 6 hours Friday
- Over
time when required
The
Ideal Candidate…
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Genuine interest in pursuing a career in the mechanical fitting industry
- Valid Australian C Class drivers’ license or reliable transport
- Full Australian work rights
- National police clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
- Motivated, hard-working, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work well in a team
- Current High-Risk License – Forklift (preferred, but not essential)
- Learning new skills & trade, with mentorship
- Modern fabrication facility
