Mechanical Maintenance Technician/Fitter
The successful candidate will be required to complete a pre employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol testing as part of the recruitment process.
- Installation, maintenance and servicing of plant & equipment including (but not limited to) pumps, oil burners, dosing systems, pipework and related services.
- Support the installation of new projects.
- Maintaining and servicing plant, machinery, pipework, pumps and equipment on site
- Assisting in new equipment installation and maintenance at other associated Enva/ customer sites
- Maintaining relevant records accurately and in a timely manner in relation to the above
- To carry out checks, inspections and audits as directed
- To conduct your duties in accordance with company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the company’s waste licence
- To adhere to the company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times
- To ensure that housekeeping is kept to a high standard around the site and that all activities comply with health and safety requirements.
- To communicate any concerns which may affect operational process to the Production Manager immediately.
- To attend meetings, training courses etc. as required
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities, suggest and where relevant implement solutions.
- To be willing to work flexibly and to carry out other duties as may be requested including over time.
- Report any non-conformances and support corrective action activities.
- Support other teams/departments as required.
- To act courteously and communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, Enva personnel and other personnel encountered within your role.
- To foster and develop good customer and public relations at all times and to portray a professional image of the company.
- To report for work in a timely manner and to conduct work as scheduled to company and customer satisfaction.
- To work within the instructions and procedures of the Company’s systems as directed by your manager or other management as appropriate.

- To report any personal circumstances that would affect your ability to legally perform your duties.
- Mechanical background such as mechanical fitter, maintenance fitter (MAMF), etc.
- Qualified fitter or sufficient mechanical maintenance experience required, i.e. Fás/ City & Guilds or equivalent mechanical time-served Apprenticeship with Junior and Senior Trades an advantage.
- Relevant/ practical/ hands-on experience in the areas outlined, ideally in a manufacturing/ production environment within medium/heavy industrial industry.
- Experience with equipment such pumping equipment, oil burners and hydraulic & pneumatic equipment.
- Welding, drilling and grinding experience.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to perform repairs and maintenance on both a reactive and planned basis, and flexibility to meet business needs and customer demands.
- Full clean driving licence essential
