Mechanical Project Engineer
RMF Engineering, Inc has an immediate need for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join their Charlotte, North Carolina office. The candidate shall have proven experience designing and leading the design of HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing systems in the healthcare, higher education, municipal, and/or public safety market sectors.
Position Description: The Mechanical Project Engineer will work as part of Charlotte’s Mechanical team in all facets of commercial building engineering and will be responsible for tasks including:
- HVAC systems design
- Plumbing systems design
- Performance-based Fire Protection systems design
- Specifications
- Code analysis
- Energy modeling
- Lab/Medical gas systems
- Quality control and peer reviews
- LEED/Green Globes documentation
Life cycle cost analysis
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- BS Engineering Degree from accredited college or university
- 8+ Years of Mechanical Experience
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office software
- HVAC systems design
Preferred Qualifications:
- EIT Certification
- Professional Engineer (PE)
Experience with IESVE energy modeling software
