Discussion

Cedar Creek is a 1,100 MW simple-cycle gas turbine power project built under a lump-sum EPC contract. As Mechanical QA Inspector you inspect major equipment installation, tanks, rotating equipment and the mechanical balance of plant, and you hold the client hold points that construction cannot sign off.

What you get to do:

  • Inspect equipment receipt, storage and preservation.
  • Verify equipment setting, alignment and grouting against vendor tolerances.
  • Inspect tank installation and witness tank testing.
  • Review vendor documentation and installation records.
  • Attend client hold points, including machine setting, and sign off where authorized.
  • Raise and drive closure of nonconformances.

What you bring to the role:

  • 7+ years inspecting mechanical installation on power or process plants.
  • Working knowledge of ASME Section VIII and API tank standards.
  • Hands-on experience with large rotating equipment installation.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, Procore and AI tools used with human verification.
  • Technical qualification, or equivalent years of field experience.

Nice to have:

  • Owner-side inspection experience.
  • OSHA 30 — provided by the project after mobilization if you do not already hold it.
