Mechanical Technician: Barrow in Furrness
Summary
Performs routine and breakdown mechanical maintenance on valves, engines, compressors, gearboxes, and turbines at an onshore energy project in Barrow-in-Furness.
Wood is currently recruiting for an Onshore Mechanical Technician at Spirit Energy Project at Barrow in Furness
Workscope will mainly consist of General Mechanical maintenance both routine and breakdown working on a varying amount of kit, valves, engines, compressors, gearboxes, turbines.
Start date – ASAP
Contract until Dec 2026 (with potential to be further extended)
Rotation – 7 days on 7 days off (this will change to Mon to Fri one week and Mon to Thu the next week from Oct)
Location – Barrow in Furness
Lodge Allowance is paid at rate of £80.00 per night if following criteria is met:
“An employee who, by agreement with the employer lives away from home shall be entitled to an accommodation allowance under either of the following criteria:
- Travel from home to site is greater than or equal to 80 miles (distance)
It would be the candidates responsibility to arrange accommodation and claim back via expenses
