Media Content Coordinator
The role focuses on strengthening media communication through high‑quality content creation, research, coordination, and cross‑functional collaboration.
1. Media Content Creation
- Develop impactful long‑form and short‑form content for earned, owned, and co‑created media.
- Prepare media pitch notes, press releases, briefing notes, responses, comments, and interview talking points.
2. In‑Depth Research & Insight Generation
- Conduct extensive secondary research on topics such as economic/social issues and sustainability to generate actionable insights and strengthen content.
- Identify key trends across traditional media, digital platforms, and corporate/brand communication.
- Perform environment scanning, including peer tracking and analysis.
- Study ITC initiatives thoroughly by engaging with internal/external experts and field experiences to craft compelling narratives.
- Leverage AI and relevant technologies for research, stakeholder targeting, impact analysis, and value-adding inputs.
3. Agency Coordination
- Work with various agencies by creating briefs, defining scope, offering support, and reviewing/bench-marking their output.
4. Media Monitoring & Insights
- Track, curate, and disseminate media clippings and related insights within the organization.
5. Archival Management
- Maintain and manage systematic archiving and retrieval of key communications and media assets.
6. Presentation Development
- Create high-quality presentations for internal and external stakeholders to amplify the company’s messaging.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with content, digital, and internal communications teams within CCD.
- Coordinate with multiple ITC businesses/divisions to meet media content needs.
- Support CCD and other functions in PR events and on-ground media initiatives.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- Post Graduate degree, preferably in Mass Communication, English, or Economics from a reputed university.
- Executive or self-skilling courses in communication, branding, Microsoft Office, or AI (for content).
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in content creation within PR agencies, journalism (preferably desk roles), or corporate communications in large companies.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Thorough understanding of traditional media, new‑age media, multimedia, social media, and influencers.
- Sharp eye for discovering news.
- Knowledge of economic, social, and environmental issues.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments at once and deliver under pressure.
- Ability to conduct strong secondary research.
- Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and relevant AI tools such as ChatGPT, Canva, DALL·E, and Runway.
