Coastal Health is looking for a dependable and motivated Medical Assistant to join our growing Orthopedic team! We are seeking someone who thrives in a busy medical office, enjoys working with patients, and is flexible and willing to float to all locations to support daily operations where needed.

Responsibilities:

• Assist providers with patient care and daily clinical operations.

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and update medical histories.

• Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies are stocked.

• Assist providers with examinations and procedures as needed.

• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record.

• Support patient flow and help keep appointments running efficiently.

• Float throughout the orthopedic offices to assist staff and provide coverage where needed.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow office policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.

• Orthopedic experience is a plus!

• Familiarity with electronic medical records; Athenahealth experience is a plus.

• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

• Reliable, flexible, and committed to providing excellent patient care.

• A positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
