Medical Assistant- Urgent Care Casual

Hours of Job

• Casual (Nights & Days)

• Per Casual Policy (3-4 shifts/month with 2 being weekend with holiday requirement)

Duties and Key Responsibilities

• Assists with Nursing Process.

• Implements and documents clinical and technical aspects of care.

• Assists in discharge planning.

• Assists in patient/family teaching.

• Assists in physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual care of the patients.

• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

• Good interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, families, co-workers, and other customers.

• Basic clinical skills delivering patient care and clerical skills in an outpatient setting.

Education/Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or will be graduating within 6 months of hire

• Certified Medical Assistant through AAMA or other certifying body as deemed acceptable by the Practice Manager or will obtain this credentialing within 6 months of hire

Experience

• Previous medical/surgical background helpful.
