Key Responsibilities

• Review and code patient medical records using standard coding systems, including ICD-10 and CPT.

• Ensure accuracy and consistency of coding practices with current guidelines and insurance policies.

• Communicate with healthcare providers and staff to clarify diagnoses and coding discrepancies.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive data.

• Compile reports of coded data and participate in quality assurance checks.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or certification in medical coding or related field.

• Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT coding, and medical billing procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Effective communication and organizational skills.
