Medical Director Company: FIRE BIRD INSTITIUE OF RESEARCH MANAGEMENT Job Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India Employment Type: Full-time Experience Required: 10+ years Salary: 4L a month Designation - Medical Director Vedanayagam Hospital is a 44 years old centre for Advanced Urology care based in Coimbatore. The Hospital has an approximate in-patient capacity of 45 beds in fully private format in addition to some general ward capacity. The hospital is renowned for its Urology, BPH surgery and a range of reconstructive procedures related to urology. The hospital has been recently fully refurbished and there are plans for expansion for acquiring a slightly smaller hospital located nearby which is currently being run on lease. The medium-term vision is to expand into a multi-unit setup within the broader Kongu region, positioning the Company as the premier option for Urology and related specialties in that geography. Task: The need is for a Medical Director who will, in line with the Managements direction, help in setting operational strategy, SOPs, quality standards, culture and value systems, customer engagement and satisfaction, as well as be responsible for their implementation on the ground. Gender: Male or Female. Age: 4565 years, more towards the median preferred. Qualifications: Qualified Medical Doctor at masters level, with experience of personal practice for at least 10 years before moving into an administrative role, where they should have at least 10 years experience. Very strong experience in talent sourcing, competitive remuneration fixation, operation theatre management, and pharmacy management required. Understanding of the different skill sets required for different types of surgery, including anaesthesia practice and the theatre assisting teams. Good understanding of the diagnostic imaging domain. Ability to assess the quality of surgical work being done at individual doctor level to decide on broader strategy at institution level. Preferences: Strong preference for being Tamil-speaking. Preference for someone from the Kongu region. Preference for those with active honorary executive role in any medical forums/associations. Preference for demonstrably well-networked individuals within the healthcare domain. Salary: Indicative range of 45 lakhs CTC per month and other perks.
