We are currently seeking a full-time Site Medical Director to lead clinical services at Vienna Correctional Center in Vienna, Illinois. Located approximately 22 miles from Marion and 37 miles south of Carbondale, Vienna offers an opportunity to combine clinical leadership with a more predictable work schedule and a meaningful impact on patient care.

Position Overview

The Site Medical Director provides clinical leadership, medical oversight, and supervision of healthcare staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and clinically appropriate medical services. Reporting to the Statewide Medical Director, this role offers the opportunity to guide clinical operations, support provider development, and contribute to continuous improvements in patient care.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing clinical direction and oversight of medical services at the assigned facility.
• Supervising and supporting medical staff to promote high standards of clinical care.
• Ensuring compliance with established clinical guidelines, policies, and service delivery requirements.
• Participating in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics committees, as requested.
• Promoting effective clinical practices, patient safety, and continuity of care.

Schedule & Work-Life Balance

• Monday–Friday, day shift
• No nights, weekends, or holidays
• Choice of five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts
